Non-profit organization Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy Okushiga (OICMA) establishes a management system that befits its business operations while protecting personal information and shall handle personal information properly and cautiously.
1) Definition of personal information
“Personal information” is information about a living individual that can serve to identify the individual through mention of name, address, or other; this includes information that can be easily collated with other information to become personally identifiable.
Personal information collected by OICMA constitutes the following.
- Phone number
- Fax number
- E-mail address
- History of sponsor registration and content
- Information that is personally identifiable by combining with the above
2) Collection of personal information
When collecting personal information, this shall be done within appropriate limits, using legal and fair methods. OICMA collects personal information to the extent necessary for the following situations.
- Supporter applications

When using personal information, OICMA shall do so within the limits of the specified purpose. Permission will be obtained in advance from the information owner when crossing those limits. OICMA uses personal information for the following purposes.
- To confirm/inquire when a supporter application is received
- To send supporter benefit
- To respond to an inquiry
4) Sharing of personal information
In principle, OICMA will not disclose or provide personal information to a third party without the advance permission of the information owner. When doing so, agreement of the information owner shall be obtained in advance. However, the following are exceptions.
- If requested by a public office, such as the police
- If required by law
*OICMA may calculate and analyze personal information and disclose statistical information (general information that has been processed to exclude personal information and indicate user trends) to explain OICMA activities to sponsors / other third parties or for other legal purposes.
5) Disclosure, correction etc. of personal information
Should the information owner request disclosure, correction/deletion or refuse usage/provision of the information, OICMA will comply as appropriate.
6) SSL use
For security when personal information is entered, we use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol to prevent the information from being intercepted, interrupted, or manipulated.
*SSL is a function that encrypts information when sending/receiving to prevent interception and data manipulation. Using SSL makes it possible to send information more safely.
